Gathering the Shards of the Times I Lived Thru

At times I go by Vermillion.

Re-entering performing on stage after a decade of quietly mending thru creating art with my hands.  I started with photographs,  eccentric  jewelry, ended up with a thousand blue bottle public installation in Governors Island and  performing an Earth Burial in said bottles. Right now I'm finalizing my 20 International Time mosaic clock collection.

This spring I'll be part of the Outsider Art Fair in March, courtesy of Fountain House Gallery, I'll perform On Cats and Dogs solo show at the NYC Fringe Festival in April, and have its extended text published hopefully in late February.

Often I'm Vermillion.

Vermilion has been active in the New York City cultural community since 2001. She started as a performer and writer, her work being presented at the Immigrant Theater Festival, Manhattan Theater Source, Medicine ShowTheater, Bowery Poetry Club, Chashama, Puerto Rican Playwrights Workshop, Stage Left, Strawberry Festival, and such. Ten years ago she switched her creative energy to visual arts. Last winter serendipity brought her back to theater and spoken word, being cast in Stories from My Mother at the Theater for the New City. Currently she’s working towards a solo show, On Cats and Dogs Revelations, which she started shaping in Adam Wade’s Magnet Theater Solo Workshop and during her Governors Island residency.
